Dawn Weekly
Attorney
Favorite Quote:
“Change is inevitable; growth is optional.”
Dawn sees herself as a self-starter with lots of initiative. She is a lawyer, but she is not stuffy—although she
does love to talk
about a wide range of subjects which include almost all types of music. “All types” really means all types! Her undergraduate degree is in music. She loves listening to everything from symphony to local bar bands. They can be playing anything from classical to jazz, blues, or rock—but don’t invite a DJ doing electro-pop to the party! She is also a sports fan who loves to watch baseball, basketball, and football. If the music is turned off and no game is on, then her interests turn to reading nonfiction with a bent toward the political.
When she’s not at work, her most significant relationship is with her twelve-year-old son C.J. They share a common interest in sports and drums. Other leisure-time activities include spending time with friends, learning new things, and sharing great conversations.
Dawn held a number of internships, graduate assistant positions, and clerkships while in college, and she was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in November of 2004.
