Diane Stuber
Medicaid Legal Assistant
"Worry is the devil's playground."
"If we are faithful, God will be faithful."
Diane Stuber is a marvelous combination of enthusiasm, energy, and efficiency. She states that her father, Don Hoover, modeled for her his good work habits. He worked for the railroad for 47 years, but to this day he states, "I never worked a day in my life." Diane enjoys being employed at the law firm as much as her father enjoyed working on the railroad. She credits her mother, Mary, who raised six children, with providing her with parenting wisdom about "what works and what doesn't." Diane cherishes her four grown children and three grandchildren and finds grandparenting more fun than parenting!
Her favorite things include traveling, spending time with her three grandchildren, and one of our local favorites, Oberweis ice cream—especially apple strudel. Other favorite pastimes are reading a good book, relaxing in the sun, taking long walks, and spring/fall trips to Amish country in Shipshewana, Indiana with her friend, Sue. On the other hand, it really bugs her when people are rude, dishonest, or don't use their turn signals!
Watch out for Diane, as she may turn up anywhere that cars are being driven, displayed, or sold! Frankly, she loves cars—yes, she's quite a "gear head"! If you happen to be traveling with her, she may become distracted as she exclaims, "Hey—look at that '57 Corvette!" Diane is always looking for someone to go with her to the yearly "Vet Fest" in Illinois. She also enjoys watching NASCAR on the week-ends.
She is an important and caring member of the Law ElderLaw team, and we are grateful that she serves with us.
