Jonathan Johnson
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.”
— New Testament, Philippians 2:3
Jonathan states that he has the best job in the world, in that he gets paid just to be nice to people. He is the community face of LawElderLaw. Traveling throughout the region, Jonathan knows the senior services network. If he has not already visited a particular long term care facility, senior network services provider, or support counselor, he will soon. His goal is to provide our clients with more than just a handful of legal documents when they leave our office. Jonathan is a key part of the service commitment of the law firm to accomplish our goal of providing a bridge between our legal services and the senior resource network. He knows the where and the what that is available within senior services, so that he can make recommendations to our clients which will save them time and energy in their search for competent and caring service providers. He exerts this effort on behalf of our seniors so that they can improve their lives, lessen their fears, and clear their confusions.
Jonathan states that despite the fact that today there are more senior services than at any time in the past, the information is compartmentalized so that the path to connect the senior with the information to access services is not readily available. He is dedicated to being the connection between our clients and the care that they deserve.
Previously, as a paralegal, Jonathan has had experience with high production real estate title offices where success was measured solely in how many pieces of paper were pushed out the door. He is delighted to be using his interpersonal giftedness to serve the senior community. Recently he told one of our clients, “ You may not believe this, but I got paid the other day to deliver flowers on Valentine’s Day to nursing home residents. I love this job!’
Jonathan has gained wisdom from each of his previous careers and he states that he has served as manager, salesman, corporate executive, husband, and now, a father. Transparently he states, that he has first struggled and then finally succeeded at each role that he has assumed. Gratefully, he is in his element here at LawElderLaw and works to promote our services and the needs of our clients throughout Northern Illinois. We believe that he is succeeding with an important mission on behalf of seniors. He is a member of many organizations that are devoted to improve the lives of the aging.
