Katherine D. Motley
Paralegal and Executive Vice President, Operations
Favorite Quote:
“I just love it when a plan comes together!”
— George Peppard, as Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith in The A-Team
Here at Law ElderLaw, we think of Kathy as "Firecracker" or "Tiger." Perhaps its the bright red hair that adorns this almost five-foot-tall bundle of energy. All of our clients love to hug Kathy. Sometimes we are almost worried that she will break, but she sure seems to love the attention and the affection. We hope that never changes.
Kathy teaches us that imagining something is the first step in making it happen. She is very proactive and a persistent advocate for our clients. In addition, almost every Medicaid caseworker in the surrounding counties knows the high quality of her work. Kathy is a delight to have on your side in a crisis.
As our Executive Vice President of Operations, Kathy is the one who coordinates the entire team to produce world-class service for our clients. She has been working in the area of estate planning and Medicaid for more than ten years. Kathy oversees our Medicaid team as Law ElderLaw files fifteen to twenty Medicaid applications per month in over ten different counties.
It takes real time and effort to listen and to care, but that is her calling. Her husband, Stan is the senior pastor of the Plano Christian Church. Not only does she have a professional career here at Law ElderLaw, but Kathy can often be found leading a women's retreat or a Bible study.
Another quote that Kathy likes is: "I want to live my life on purpose. Life shouldn't be something that just happens to you." Her joy and 'can-do' attitude are infectious on our team, our professional friends, and our clients. She is flexible, yet tenacious in seeking to be a positive influence and a blessing to those who come in contact with her.
